Channeling Blair Waldorf
My dress for New Years is SO something the lovely Blair would wear :) I am completly in heart with it… I’d like to live in it… but alas I don’t live Blair’s Upper East Side life!
Comedy of Errors
My morning has been off to a rough start… awake at 6am… for no apparent reason. Jakey pee’d all over himself when he went out this morning (so obviously, he then had to get an early morning bath… he’s not a fan!). Then I got lost in Point Loma (really just turned around… but still). And I just got locked inside my office… don’t ask… luckily...

Santa Baby
Driving home tonight from North County I saw that the Hilton in MV has its windows lit up to spell out “JOY”. Between that and all the Christmas lights at the Wild Animal Park, tonight was almost enough to shake my bah-humbug mood. Between not going home for the holidays, no Christmas tree, and working a seasonal job in retail I haven’t really been in the Christmas spirit....
Holidays
I’m not going home for the holidays this year. I hate traveling this time of year… the cross country trip is never fun any time of year. I am thankful however, that my best friend’s family will be in San Diego for Christmas. They’ve known me for something like 15 years now so that’s got to qualify for just about as close as you can get to family.

Classic Champagne Cocktail
3oz Champagne 1/3 oz Cognac 2 dashes bitters 1 sugar cube Soak sugar cube in a champagne flute with angostura bitters. Add champagne and cognac.

The Season of Thanks
I just got back from having lunch with one of my favorite people. We went to college together in Florida about 10 years ago and I’m so thankful that we both somehow ended up creating lives for ourselves in San Diego. He’s one of the most caring and generous people I’ve ever met and I’m so glad he is part of my west coast family.
